Grandma and Grandpa come to visit

Last week Kevin's parents flew out to visit. They met Joshua for the first time and had a great time bonding with the girls. All of the kids loved having them here. They were able to attend Lizzie's open house (more on this later), spend lots of time with Tori and were able to spoil Joshua! It was a precious week.

Thanks so much for coming out...not only did we have a great time with you, but you were SOOOO helpful. (Dorothy helped me catch up with my laundry!) Wow, that's a feat.

In other Alvey news...Joshua is now 5 months old! Yesterday he was diagnosed with a double ear infection and acid reflux disease. The acid reflux is no fun. Poor baby, he spits up a lot. So we're now on Zantax to help relieve him. The doctor thinks he will probably grow out of it; I hope so! Even so, he continues to be a very happy baby..smiling, babbling, laughing, what a delight. He weighed in at 16 lbs., 11 oz this week! (No wonder your arms were sore Grandma!)

Happy Mother's Day...to Me!

What a fun, relaxing day we had yesterday. First we started off the day with a great service at Flipside, where I preached my first sermon! Well, I didn't preach the whole sermon, I only took two points. That was fun. We'll see if I get invited to preach again! Then we took my mom and dad out for a champagne brunch downtown, yum! Once we arrived home, I took a nap while Kev watched the kids and put together my Mother's Day present...a beautiful porch swing! I love it and I know that I'll spend hours with all three of my babies swinging!
